How do I use the conference room equipment in the Fish Bowl/Matt Grushon Conference Room?

The Fish Bowl/Matt Grushon Conference Room in room 102 is equipped with a Microsoft Teams-based screen sharing and video conferencing system. The board may be used to stream content, join web meetings, and mark up a virtual whiteboard.

Stream Content (Share Your Screen) - If You're Not In a Call

To share your screen, open the Microsoft Teams app on your Mac or PC.

In the ellipsis (...) menu in the top-right corner of your screen, click Cast.

Select Fish Bowl Conference Room and click Next.

Select Screen, and choose whether or not to include sound. Then, click Cast.

Stream Content (Share Your Screen) - If You're In A Call

On the TV, invite yourself to the meeting by tapping on Participants, then Add Participants.

Search your name, then click Invite.

Answer the call on your computer by clicking Accept.

In the top-right corner of your screen, click Share.

Choose whether you want to share sound, then click Screen.

Join a Web Meeting through Teams, Zoom or Webex

To join a Teams, Zoom or Webex meeting in the Fish Bowl, create or forward a calendar event to the Fish Bowl Conference Room:

In your Outlook email, click Calendar.

Click New Event.

Name the meeting, set the time, and set the Location to "Fish Bowl Conference Room" (you can search in this field.)

Then:

For a Microsoft Teams meeting: turn on the Teams meeting option.

For a Zoom meeting: paste the Zoom invite into the meeting description.

For a Webex meeting: paste the Webex invite into the meeting description.

When the meeting begins, click Join on the TV to join the meeting.

Using the white board (while not in a call)

On the TV, click the Whiteboard option - the Whiteboard will open.

Using the white board (in a Teams call)

Tap the Share Content button, then tap Whiteboard. NOTE: If the button is greyed out, the Fish Bowl Conference Room may not have permission to present. Under the People menu on your computer, click the '...' on their name in Teams and click 'Make a Presenter'

(Advanced) Using remote controls

In the Teams app, under the People menu, click the '...' on the Fish Bowl Conference Room and click Control Room System. This may be used to remotely turn on/off video, audio, and captions, as well as adjust layout and volume options.
