How to connect to Epson projectors

First time setup

Windows and macOS

  1. Open the Epson iProjection application
  2. On first launch you will be prompted to select connection mode. Select advanced connection mode and you may set it as the default mode.
    • Windows users will be asked if you want to disable the firewall, select No
  3. The iProjection app is now open
  4. Click the "Set options" button at the bottom of the window, this will open the settings menu
  5. In the box labeled "Shared Profile Name" paste in the following address:
    http://drss-epson/epson.mplist
  6. Click apply and close the settings window. You should now see all of the projectors listed 
  7. Mac users may need to close the app and re-open the iProjection app
  8. You are now setup to project

Chromebook

  1. Open the iProjection app, which can be found in the ChromeOS app menu in the bottom left corner of the screen
  2. In the app click or tap the hamburger menu (the three lines) in the top left of the app
  3. Scroll down and click or tap "App Settings"
  4. In the box labeled "Shared Profile Name" paste in the following address:
    http://drss-epson/epson.mplist
  5. Open the hamburger menu again and click or tap on "Home"
  6. The app is now ready for projecting

Projecting

Windows and macOS

  1. Turn on the projector and open the Epson iProjection app on your computer
    • Windows users will be asked if you want to disable the firewall, select No
  2. Find the projector you want to connect to in the left pannel and double click
  3. The projector will now show in the list on the right, select the associated checkbox.
  4. If you would like to restrict connections select the moderator mode checkbox
  5. Click the connect button in the bottom right of the window
  6. When prompted enter the keyword displayed on the projector's home screen

Chromebooks

  1. Open the iProjection app, which can be found in the ChromeOS app menu in the bottom left corner of the screen
  2. Click or tap where it says "Profile"
  3. Scroll down, select the projector, then tap the search button in the top right corner
  4. The app will search for the projector, then the projector will show up on the app home screen
  5. Click or tap on the projector name
  6. When prompted enter the keyword displayed on the projector's home screen
